Super September Newsletter

Welcome everyone to September’s newsletter. Last month we celebrated BPW International’s 89th Anniversary and we had our traditional YBPW dinner meeting. Well done to our YBPW for a wonderful night, the speaker’s arranged by our YBPW convener Andrea Rowe were very interesting and enjoyed by everyone. It was great having three of our BPWNZ national executive join us, many of you meeting our President Hellen Swales, YBPW Representative Carmen Nelson and Vice President Membership Christine Berridge for the first time.
 
Anita and Anna are in full swing with organizing our Meet the Candidates night which is on the 19th of September at 6.30pm. Our Sub-committee has asked if you could please bring a packet of biscuits to our September dinner meeting to donate for our event. I have some exciting news for you all… the executive are working on having a closed membership only facebook page which will be used by members to share their events with each other. Our current facebook page is for BPW articles and events only but we understand that you all love to network and share events that are coming up so this new facebook page will give you the opportunity to do that… so watch this space.

We are forming a sub-committee to work on our planning for the 2021 BPWNZ National Conference. If you would like to be on the sub-committee then please let us know by emailing the club email. 
This month our wonderful Secretary Anna Hornby is hosting the dinner meeting and we will be hearing from two of our members: Rebecca Treeby and Glenny Lewis. Anna has a great night planned and don’t forget that September is Women’s Suffrage month.
