Desiree's MessageHello everyone and welcome to October 2021. What an exciting last few weeks it has been with another regional meeting and our event the Shop n Sip. We now look forward to our AGM this month where we will find out who our new executive will be.
Thank you to everyone who helped with the Shop n Sip, whether you helped on the night or donated items for the raffle we really appreciate everything you do to support our club. The night was successful in its objectives, 1. to promote BPW in a positive way, 2. to generate funds to support our scholarship, 3. to support local women and other business in our community. All this was achieved and some stall holders have asked when are we running another craft night! Thank you to Yarrows and Subway for their sponsorship. We have some photos up on our website and if you took photos at our event please send them to me. Regional Meeting, this went well and Kay will give a report on the meeting at our October dinner. Gisborne is where our next conference will be and we cant wait to road trip or fly with you all... if you have not been to conference for awhile then put this on your list. Dates are 13 - 15th May and the theme for the Saturday night dinner is, Feathers, Furs and Pearls. Our BPW Christmas event this year will be on December the 13th (second Monday) and we have decided to have a cocktail evening. Please put this date into your calendar so that you don't miss it! Our Education Scholarship is open, please share with your family and friends it closes at the end of the month so please get applications in. Remember to bring you KTA books to our dinner meeting if you would like things signed off. With the gardens starting to grow again we are bringing back our crop swap so please bring your surplus to dinner. I look forward to seeing you all at our club dinner meeting and AGM on the 18th of October, Warm Regards Desiree Bond President View the full newsletter here...
