Awesome August Newsletter

Welcome everyone to August 2020. I have a message from our wonderful IPP Sheryl, ‘if you would like to promote your business then give Sheryl something from your business to go into the gift packs. A win win! Free Advertising/promoting” Example – key ring, pen, soap, chocolate with your business card attached…..’ So please bring something along to dinner on Monday or you can drop items to Sheryl at Storage and Equipment Hire on South Road.
Last month we heard from Kelly Judkins who shared her experiences with us as a Funeral Director which was very insightful, we also had our first Crop Swap which was a real hit and so we will be doing that again this month.

Thank you to everyone who ordered wine we should receive it soon from Sileni. We are running a Meet the Candidates event at Tairoa Lodge so keep an eye out for this as we are just waiting for all the candidates to confirm. We are also running a Pink Ribbon Brunch in October on the 17th at 10am, more details to come soon.
August is our YBPW month and Jess Sklenars our YBPW convenor is running the August dinner meeting. We have a wonderful speaker Harete Hipango MP speaking on life as a woman in Politics. This is not about Nationals policy’s etc but a focus on Harete’s personal journey. We are also celebrating 90years of BPW International with BPW day being the 26th of August so please remember to wear yellow if possible.  

Our Women’s Education Scholarship is now open so please share it with your contacts and encourage them to apply; you can find the link to our website below.
We have such an exciting few months coming up and you will all receive flyers for our events shortly. A reminder that our AGM is in October and you will be sent nomination forms this month.
