Fabulous February Newsletter

Hello everyone and welcome to 2021, I hope you have all had a fabulous Christmas and New Year holiday. We are now ready for another exciting year of BPW.
This month is Red Bag Day which is also known as Equal Pay Day. It marks the period of extra days women need to work on average to make up the pay gap on men. On 26 August 2020, StatsNZ announced that the gender pay gap was 9.5 percent.
If you have a Red Bag please bring it with you to dinner this month. 

Our guest speaker is Rachel Williams who is a club member and the Principal of Hawera High School. She will be talking to us about her journey to becoming a Principal and sharing some of her goals for 2021.

Membership invoices have gone out, if you haven't received one then please email our treasurer Amelie and let her know. 
We are having our crop swap again this month so please bring something along, you never know what bargain you will get!
Our club Camelia's are for sale at our dinner meeting so don't miss out on buying one of these beautiful plants.
