August Newsletter

Welcome!  Although the rain keeps pouring down, there is a glimmer that better weather is looming:  the days don't feel so cold, the evening daylight is longer, daffodils are starting to flower and Spring is coming.....

Wow, how was Mamma Mia in place of our July meeting!!!!  Fantastic night with nearly a full house at the theatre, about 134 tickets sold.  The movie was great, the food was great, the wine flowed, raffles sold, with three winners - Donna Griggs, Fiona Hicks and Tracey Nielsen, congratulations.  And a thankyou to Meredith Pick for doing a redraw.

Thankyou to Anita and Desiree who drove this and all the other help behind the scenes that went into making it such a success. 

From the evening we made a profit and had two ladies join our club the next week!!!!  We now have 37 members.

August Dinner Meeting

On Monday the 20th, our dinner meeting is being run by Hawera's Young BPW members. So you need to bring along all your under 35 year old women you know and see what fun we are in for. Picture of Vivien, our Mrs Asia Pacific Young BPW.
