About BPW Hawera

Your Network, Your Development!

The Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW) is an international organisation with consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and participatory status with the Council of Europe.There is a New Zealand federation (BPW NZ) and we’ve got a local club in Hawera.

Hawera is a very nice social club of around 30 to 40 members (age of members ranging from their twenties to sixties and with a variety of skills and occupations).
Our membership is steadily growing. We have a dinner meeting (usually with a guest speaker) every 3rd Monday of the month, 6pm at Tairoa Lodge Church hall.

We also get involved in “social responsibility” and community projects. Examples are our support to the Hawera Rape Crisis centre and the Taranaki safe families collaborative and their “Taranaki, where family violence is not OK” campaign...
